Reliable

Unlike so much in today’s society, pipe organs are built to last not just for a few years, but for decades—and not decades sitting in a museum, but decades of being played constantly by a variety of individuals. When Sunday morning service begins, whether it is the first Sunday after the organ is installed or the 500th, everyone expects the organ to play flawlessly.

The Virtuoso pipe organ control system has been engineered and built for maximum reliability. Components are attached using modern automated surface mount and wave solder technology which is more secure and reliable than older “through hole” mounting or hand soldering. All fiber optic communications ensure the very highest reliability and complete shielding from lightning or other electromagnetic interference that can affect copper cabling. Every key contact is energized every time it is engaged, ensuring that contacts stay as pristine and reliable as the day they were installed. Organ control software and configuration settings are stored in highly reliable flash memory.

The Virtuoso Dual Stop Action Magnet controls include a sensor so that in the event of a short circuit, the Virtuoso can present an alert through a variety of methods, averting the possibility of fire.

Virtuoso software is built on a modern “object oriented” software architecture and all configuration information is contained in tables. Since the software never has to be changed, software bugs cannot find their way into the system during installation.

Integrated Organ Technology provides telephone and email support during regular business hours, as well as 24x7 on-call support. The Virtuoso is backed by a 10 year replace or repair warranty, at the option of Integrated Organ Technology.
